Surfing

I love the beach so naturally it makes sense that I would love to take pictures of surfers. But, there is more.

Photographing surfers is a unique blend of adrenaline, timing, and respect for nature. You’re chasing movement on a constantly changing canvas while waves rise and fall, light shifts, and the surfer’s body twists and balances in perfect synch with the ocean.

Every shot requires reading the wave, predicting the turn, and being ready for that split-second moment when everything aligns—the spray, the stance, the sun glinting off water.

It’s physically and mentally immersive. You might be in the water, sand, or perched on rocks, always adapting to tides, currents, and angles. The motion is fast, unpredictable, and powerful. But when you capture a surfer carving a wave, catching air, or riding effortlessly toward the shore, it’s pure joy, A freeze-frame of human skill, courage, and harmony with the ocean.
